At about 4:45 p.m. on Saturday afternoon the Stanton County Sheriff’s office responded to and investigated a two vehicle injury traffic accident on Hwy 35 at the intersection of Northeast Industrial Highway. The accident occurred when a SUV that had stopped for the stop sign at Hwy 35 pulled into the path of a southbound 1957 Chevy on Hwy 35. The vehicles both came to rest on Hwy 35 blocking both directions. The 51 year old driver of the SUV and her 49 year old passenger from Hoskins were treated at the scene by EMS and then transported to Providence Medical Center by personal vehicle. The 81 year old driver of the chevy and his 79 year old wife of Hastings, were transported to Faith Health by ambulance. the 1957 chevy was part of a car rally involving several hundred vehicles and is considered a total loss, Seatbelts were in use by all occupants and airbags deployed in the SUV. Hoskins/Woodland Park Fire and Rescue and Stanton County Emergency Management also assisted at the scene.
