A 51-year-old Stanton woman was arrested on Thursday morning by the Stanton County Sheriff’s office on a Stanton County Arrest Warrant for felony Theft that was issued following a lengthy investigation by the Sheriff’s office. Jennifer Johnson was taken into custody and booked at the Sheriff’s office on the Theft complaint that alleges more than $13,000.00 was taken from a previous employer in Stanton. Johnson posted a $100,000.00 bond with a $10,000.00 cash surety and is scheduled to appear in Stanton County Court next month. Johnson was previously arrested by the Sheriff’s office in 2000 for the theft on a large sum of cash from the Stanton High School where she worked at that time as an activity secretary. She later pled guilty to a reduced theft charge and received probation and paid more than $11,000.00 in restitution on that case.
