Just before 6:00 a.m. on Monday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office was notified of and responded to a one vehicle rollover accident about six miles North of Stanton on Ridge Road. The accident occurred when the lone 14 year old driver lost control of her southbound car on the gravel county road and entered the east ditch and rolled onto its top. She was initially trapped in the vehicle and was assisted out and then later transported to Faith Health by Norfolk Fire/Rescue with non-life threatening injuries. Seatbelts were in use and the vehicle is considered a total loss. It appears speed and driver inexperience were contributing causes. The teenager was enroute to a school weights program.
