Two Oklahoma Men Arrested on Felony Drug Charges Near Stanton

On Saturday evening at about 6:45 p.m. the Stanton County Sheriff’s office had contact with a vehicle that was occupied and sitting along Hwy 57 just North of Stanton. The two occupants indicated they were enroute to Montana from Oklahoma and had gotten confused on their location. A subsequent investigation revealed that both men were in possession of methamphetamine and marijuana along with a large assortment of drug paraphernalia. Nathan Carpenter, 24, and Craig McNeill, 54, both of Bartlesville, OK, were arrested on the felony drug charges and jailed. Additional methamphetamine was located hidden on their person at the jail. Carpenter was also found to be out on bond for a drug and firearm charge out of Oklahoma. Two dogs travelling with the pair were also placed in safekeeping at a local pound. Both men had bonds set at $20,000.00 to be released from custody.
