Derek Bosler of Woodland Park was recently sworn in as the newest Stanton County Sheriff’s Deputy. Bosler recently graduated from the Nebraska law Enforcement Training Center completing 16 weeks of law enforcement training. He filled one of two current openings in the office after resignations earlier this year. Derek is a Stanton County native and informed Sheriff Unger it was always a goal to be a Deputy Sheriff in Stanton County. Derek is a U.S. Army Veteran. The Sheriff’s office proudly welcomes Derek aboard and will have his six. Also recently offered a conditional offer of employment as a Deputy Sheriff was Lucas Gnat of Norfolk. Lucas is scheduled to begin active employment later this summer and attend the NLETC in August for 16 weeks of training. We wish Lucas the best as well in his efforts to become a certified Deputy Sheriff.
