At about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday morning the Stanton County Sheriff’s office stopped a speeding vehicle on Hwy 35 just north of Norfolk, that was also observed driving on the shoulder. Upon having contact, the lone driver, Todd Ferguson, 35, of Minneapolis, MN was found to be intoxicated and was placed under arrest for DWI and booked at the Sheriff’s office where he provided a breath sample more than twice the legal limit. Ferguson was also found to have at least two prior DWI convictions and is on probation for DWI out of Minnesota. Ferguson was jailed on the felony DWI offense pending the posting of a yet to be determined cash bond.
