Stanton First graders under the care of elementary teacher Logan Evans made a special trip to the Sheriff’s office on Thursday during Police Appreciation Day and gave Sheriff Unger and his office a Thank You banner to hang up with their personal thanks written on the banner(s). Several other gifts of goodies were also given to the Sheriff’s office by different organizations and citizens. “How nice it is to get a welcome thanks, especially from the kids we strive everyday to protect, as often we are looked upon as the bad guys”
